The south-west experiences a tropical monsoon climate. The fertile plains rely on yearly rainfall for successful harvesting.

Bhutan stands out as one of the finest tourist destinations throughout the year. However, the period from October to December is especially breathtaking, owing to the pristine air and crystal-clear skies. For those who prefer cooler temperatures, January to February is the best time to visit.
